Weekly Update #84

1 minute read

Happy Saturday and happy week 1 of college football. Ahhhh, football is back and the world is returning to balance. I saw both Colorado and Michigan State barely squeek by their opponents which is not saying much for their teams, but maybe there’s still time to make adjustments. I’m also looking to see how Oregon State does now that they have a new coach and are standing in solidarity in the Pac-2 with WSU. With all of the league changes it’s hard to know who is playing who anymore so this entire seeason will be one surprise after another. I’m really excited!

There is also F1 this weekend. This time they are racing in Monza, Italy. Lots of big drama in F1 recently. Unfortunately our American hero Logan Sargeant was fired by his team after his last crash, so the only representation we have now is the Haas Racing team. His replacement is an Argentinian named Franco Colapinto. Based on what the team principal said, the Argentinian sponsors are deluging them with offers. There hasn’t been an Argentinian for quite a long time now, so I’m happy for them and I hope he races well. The other big drama was that Mercedes was racing Kimi Antonelli in FP1 but he crashed almost immediately. It’s not a good look considering he’s (probably) the guy Merc wanted to race in that seat next year!!

Didn’t hear back from any agents this week. I was blessed for a family friend to read the blog and ask his cousin, who works in the industry, for any tips. Basically I am following the tips already, so I think I just need to keep trying and keep reaching out to new people until I find the right person to represent me or find the community of people who will be excited to read my books. Even though things are fairly dark right now, I’m still clutching to the fact that I’m doing something important to me. Onward and upward!

This week I reached 84k words in my book. Overall the words felt really good. I liked everything that I wrote. I know I say this every week, but it’s definitely feeling like the ending is approaching. Still about a month of writing at least, but I don’t think any more than two.
