Weekly Update #91
Happy Saturday and happy return of F1 to the calendar. This week they are in Austin, TX. So far the weather is looking perfect and at least in the first practice session it’s looking like Ferrari are running the fastest.
Also big shout-outs to the Minnesota Lynx for winning game 4 of the WNBA finals and forcing a game 5 (the final game). The series will move back to NYC, so I think there is not a very good chance that they will win, but hey, who knows! Game 5 is tomorrow (Sunday) at 5pm Pacific.
Anyway, on to my writing. I finished the first read-through of my new book. My goal on the first edit is just to read the whole thing and make notes about where there are problems and what the problems are. As I expected most of the issues are in the first half. Luckily there aren’t any BIG problems that would require significant rewrites. Still, I’ll need to use all my brainpower to come up with some good solutions to some glaring inconsistencies.
Overall, though, there are some very good passages and the story as a whole came out like I was hoping. This next draft is going to be a lot of work, but when it’s finished I should be more or less done. The last draft will be applying some final polish.
Thank you to Roxanne for giving Dark Changes and Bound a great review on Amazon!!
