Weekly Update #111

1 minute read

Happy Saturday! The break in the weather held up and my fence is rebuilt. Woohoo! Unfortunately some of the boards were rotten so there’s a hole, but hey you can only try your best. Someday when I’m on the other side of town I’ll buy some new ones.

I didn’t sell any books this week or get any responses from agents, but I heard from people who are reading my books about how much they are enjoying them! They say that the writing is different than other books they have read — in a good way! It really meant a lot to get some validation. I’ve been writing alone in the darkness for a long time now!

Speaking of my writing, my new novel is still going well. I ended the week at 25k words (around 90 pages). I feel like I’m getting relatively close to the end of part one (of four).

Other than that, started to apply to jobs again in earnest. LinkedIn makes it fairly easy, but there are so many “jobs” in their listings from companies that are just straight up scams. I see a listing that looks good and I google the company and all the links say something like “AVOID THIS COMPANY THEY WILL STEAL YOUR IDENTITY”. Wow! Hey LinkedIn, you can do better!
