Weekly Update #141
Happy Saturday. September is behind us now and all that’s left is the long months of rain! We had a few days of strong showers that really put a head on the situation. I thought the whole ocean was falling at one point!
Unfortunately the Indiana Fever failed in game 5 of the WNBA semifinals, meaning that the finals are between the Aces and the Mercury. I guess I’m for the Aces, but I don’t really care about either team. All of it was overshadowed by Napheesa Collier’s exit interview where she completely torched the league’s leadership and especially the commissioner, Cathy Englebert. A lot of players and coaches have come out in support, but we’ll see how much changes. I’m not that hopeful, but somebody in the head offices has to realize that having half the league out with injuries isn’t a sustainable model.
F1 is back in Singapore this weekend. I haven’t watched much and I only just started the qualifying session a few minutes ago so I don’t have any updates there either.
My writing is going pretty well. I missed one day because I had some car troubles, but everything is OK now. I’m sitting at 59k words. My goal is 70k so I’m getting close to the end now. I don’t feel like I’m that close and I might go a little over, but things are wrapping up-ish. After that, editing and publishing.
Have a good week,
SB
