Weekly Update #45

1 minute read

Happy Saturday and happy first-post-on-my-new-site to me and happy first-post-you’re-reading-on-my-new-site to you!

Last weekend was the last race of the Formula 1 season. Congrats to Max Verstappen on his god-like racing season which was capped off by yet another win. Shoutouts to Ferrari for their shenanigans at the end of the race to try and get second in the constructors championship. The last ten laps of the race were very exciting! I’m hoping that next year we see more competition but I enjoyed every minute of this season. From Logan Sergeant’s debut, to Red Bull’s dominance, to the lizards on the track in Singapore to the collision of both Alpine’s with each other right on the last lap of the race in Australia, there were so many great moments.

But enough about racing. This week I finished my (rough) outline of my new book and started writing. On my last book I managed to do 5 pages a day at around 250 words, but it was a little much, so I decided to cut back a little to 1000 words a day. I think that’s more manageable for me, so even if I could push myself to do more, I have to remember that there’s more to doing this than just trying to make a living. It’s more important to maintain the habit of working on the project every day anyways.

So the book is moving. I’m at 3000 words now and I think it will be really good. I won’t say what it is, but I will say that it isn’t Melvin Charlie Part 3. It’s something entirely new and totally different than the other books that I’ve written so far. Stay tuned!
