Weekly Update #54

Happy Saturday once again! Finally getting some nice-ish weather and plenty of sun today. Can’t complain!

Big news in F1 this week. Lewis Hamilton is leaving Mercedes after next season (which starts next month!). He’s going to Ferrari, replacing Carlos Sainz in a multi-year deal. Not sure how it’s going to work out but he’s worked with the Ferrari boss Vasseur before. I don’t think Carlos was really a problem for them and he scored well (and got the only non-Red Bull win last season!), so it’s sad to see him go. And unfortunately, I don’t think there is really anywhere for him to go. Everyone who might want him is a downgrade except maybe Merc. At least he’ll have time to consider his options while he lounges at his private villa attended to by servants and sipping drinks.

Work on my book continued on pace this week. I’m at 56k words now. Not feeling pressured to finish the book any time soon and just enjoying the ride overall. Hopefully it turns out as good as I’m hoping and expecting and there is an agent out there who will work with me to find a deal. If not, that’s ok, I will still self-publish it. I’ve realized that I just care about the writing and the rest of it I could take or leave except for the fact that I have to eat. Just looking for small things here.

Ok, I’m going for a walk and then I’ll probably drain another pot of coffee.
