Weekly Update #59

Happy (rainy) Saturday and happy start of the racing season to all of the racing fans out there. Wow, we are really blessed for content right now! F1 is in Jeddah this weekend, IndyCar is starting, and also F1 Academy started. For those who aren’t aware, F1 Academy is a women’s-only league to promote women’s racing in F1. There are 16 competitors sponsored by the F1 teams (and some non-racing sponsors). They do two races in seven locations throughout the year. I checked out the first race this weekend and it was really exciting! I’d also like to give the Sky casters a shoutouts for having some of the racers in the commentating booth during the F1 practice sessions.

This week was pretty difficult for my writing but I did manage to finish my quota of words. Some days felt really good but others I felt like I was going to end up deleting or rewriting all of it when I get to editing. No worries! I think the only real problem I have right now is trying to find an appropriate place to wrap up. I’m at 86k words right now but I don’t feel that close to an end. I’d like to end up around 100-120k so I’ll have to figure it out soon! The good thing is that I’m getting close-ish to finishing up the first draft. I’ve been working on this book for quite a long time now, so it will be nice to finish it up and release it.

Daylight savings is tomorrow FYI! I’m wondering how many IndyCar racers will oversleep.
