Weekly Update #74

Happy Saturday and happy hot hot hot June. Hope you’re staying cool if you’re under that heat dome out east. Yikes! We had one out here a few years ago and temps got up to 114!! The coolest it got at night was 95.

F1 is in Spain this weekend. I thought Max was going to pull off the pole position after he posted a time over 3/10s over the next racer, but then Lando came in 2/100s ahead of him. It really looks like McLaren has closed the gap to RB now, which I hope means we are going to have a tight competitive rest of the season. The other big news was that the aerodynamic “upgrades” to RB-Visa-Cashapp-BOGO-formerly-known-as-Alpha-Tauri-and-something-else-before-that are definitely not working: neither car made it out of Q1!! Uh oh…

The update in my agent search is that there is no update. Nobody has written back in two weeks now, so I’m still just waiting (and querying more agents). I’m just sending out new queries maybe once every two or three days. I’m thinking about the positive side here, that they are glued to my writing and are figuring out how to tell me how badly they want to represent it.

My other book is going well. I’m currently at 25k words (around 100 pages). Not too much else to say tbh. Just keeping up with my quota and making it the best I can.
