Weekly Update #81

Happy Saturday.

The Olympics are ending tomorrow! It’s been a swift and exciting ride and feels like it’s both been too long and too short. But I think at this point I’ve binged enough content that I can’t really take anymore. If it had gone on another week my eyeballs probably would have fallen out of their sockets. And thankfully they didn’t go on much longer, because football season is starting again soon! I’ll be rooting heavily for the Pac-2 to make huge waves in the new conference realignment. (Just kidding.)

Heard back from another agent this week. Another rejection. I also sent out a bunch more queries. Between the queries I’ve sent out and the agents whose profiles I’ve reviewed, I’ve gone through about 75 so far. Hopefully I get a positive response from one of them!

My writing is still going pretty well. I ended up taking one day off because I had some other things to do and I was too stressed out to bother. My word count right now is 66k. Going by the first book, this would make it about 2/3 finished. Not bad! If I had to guess, I’ll probably finish up the first draft in at most two months. Then it will take at least a month to edit, maybe two. Getting closer every day!
