Weekly Update #83
Happy Saturday! It’s been cold and rainy here lately, but next week we’re supposed to be back into the 90s. What a rollercoaster!
F1 is back this weekend. The weather in the Netherlands has also been all over the place. Practice 1 was rainy, then it was sunny, then it was damp, etc. etc. Just finished watching the qualifying session. Lando is on top by an enormous margin, almost 4/10ths of a second. Max is second. It looks like it’s going to be an exciting race and exciting second half of the season as Red Bull tries to hang onto the constructor’s and the driver’s championships against McLaren’s onslaught. Poor Logan Sargeant had a massive crash in Practice 3 and they weren’t able to rebuild his car in time for the qualifying.
Got another rejection this week. Otherwise no updates on my agent search. (Hearing anything is better than being ghosted!)
I’m at 78k words in my next book. Things are looking pretty good overall, although there are quite a few important rewrites and edits I’ll have to make once I finish the first draft. I’m still expecting the usual 3-4 drafts, but each draft might take longer than expected.
Overall I’m really happy with the way the book is turning out. Events are ramping up for the finale, all of the characters are getting their stories told, and there’s enough tension to make things exciting. I think you’ll really like it.
