Weekly Update #139

Happy Saturday! All the leaves are starting to turn and I’m looking forward to crunching them on the sidewalk when they fall. The weather is still quite warm but I’m sure it will also turn quickly. Until then I’ll enjoy my nice walks in the sun.

The WNBA concluded the first round of the playoffs last night. The next round (there are three rounds total) will have Indiana vs Las Vegas and Minnesota vs Phoenix. I don’t think Indiana has a very good chance, but you never know. I thought they would lose 2-0 to Atlanta and look what happened to that prediction! I still think Minnesota will win it all, but Phoenix is a tough match-up. They’ll have to use every ounce of skill to get past them and into the finals.

In college football news, my OSU Beavers are getting totally destroyed this year and today will be no different. Unfortunately we are playing our former-rivals-turned-Pac-12-traitors the Ducks. We’ll focus on next week and see what we can do then.

My writing didn’t go that well this week. Comcast was upgrading their services in my area so the internet was down for TWO DAYS. I write on Google Docs so I couldn’t do anything. (Yes, I could have written offline somewhere, but that’s not my flow.) Another day I had an appointment in the morning that had me all twisted too. So I lost three days. That’s ok. I got back to my schedule yesterday and hopefully it’ll stay that way from now on. I’m at 49k (out of 70k) words now.
