Weekly Update #138

Happy Saturday! The weather is starting to cool off considerably and the nights are starting earlier! Fall is upon us! I’m still not ready for it. It feels like summer hardly even started, yet here we are (again).

The WNBA finished its season on Friday. The Indiana Fever did make it into the playoffs. Whew! It was close, only a couple of games. They are playing Atlanta in the first round, which starts on Sunday. I don’t think they have a great chance, but they have a chance. It all depends on how well they play on defense in the second half, which has not been great this season.

F1 is back next weekend. Last weekend, Max strolled to an easy victory in Monza. It was like 2023 all over again.

My writing went well this week. I think I found the right ideas for this part of the book. A couple of days I only wrote 500 words not 1k, so currently I’m at 46k. Still on track to finish around the first week of October.

Still applying to jobs, even though it’s still ugly out there. I got a rejection for a job that had been posted <1 hour before, saying “We already found the candidate we’re looking for”. Wow, ok. That was fast! You managed to review applications and interview someone in 30 mins. That’s really impressive! It’s honestly a real clown show out there. The whole market for open positions is completely fake.

Other than that, not much going on. The Dallas Cowboys are playing the Giants tomorrow at 10am. They should win by a lot if last week was any indication. I’ll watch either way.
