Weekly Update #145

1 minute read

Happy Saturday! It’s completely pouring rain here, but I’m tired this morning and I didn’t feel like leaving the house anyway.

Tonight is Game 7 of the World Series. It’s baseball so anything can happen! I think Shohei Ohtani is on deck for pitching. It’s been a dramatic series, and I can’t remember the last time I actually watched every game. These playoffs have been great, though. Really exciting action, lots of lowlights and highlights.

My OSU Beavers finally got a victory! Let’s go! The sky’s the limit now.

In the WNBA, the league and the player’s association agreed to a 30-day extension to the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) deadline. They were supposed to make a deal by Oct. 31st, but obviously they didn’t. Almost nothing has come out about the dealings so I really don’t know what’s going on. In other news, the Seattle Storm hired Sonia Raman as their new head coach. She previously was an assistant coach both in the W and in the M. Congratulations Sonia!

In F1, Lando won the race in Mexico and took the lead in the driver’s championship. It’s still pretty close overall. Lando, Max and Oscar all still have a fighting chance.

In my writing, I’ve now completed around 150 pages of editing. It’s going smoothly and there aren’t any problems really at all, just a few minor details here and there. I might not even do a second read-through after this one, just polish up a few things. Which is great! The less work the better!

Have a great week,

SB
