Weekly Update #157

1 minute read

Happy Monday! I missed my update this weekend (again!) but here I am now. I don’t really have a good excuse for missing it but luckily there’s no punishment! I have the power!

Congrats to the Patriots and the Seahawks for winning their respective conferences and punching their tickets to the Super Bowl! Both games were pretty good, especially the Rams vs the Seahawks. It really was two amazing teams fighting to see who would blink first. Unfortunately for the Rams, the turnovers just killed them. Can’t wait to see what happens in the big one!

Still no word on the WNBA CBA negotiations. Unrivaled season 2 ratings are down from last year as well. Overall it seems like things aren’t going in the right direction, but it’s really impossible to say what might happen at this point.

My writing is going really well. I finished my quota every day and I’m currently at 40k words. Still no idea on how long it might be, but I think we are entering the real meat of the story. The events are exciting (I think) and I feel good about the characters and their respective arcs. All I need is to keep grinding until the end.

I also finished a great book this week. “Dead Wake” by Erik Larson about the sinking of the Lusitania. Lots of excitement and drama, and lots of unanswered questions about whether or not it could have been prevented. I think what surprised me the most was that it happened two years before the US entered WW1. Somehow I thought they were more closely connected. Check it out if you’re interested. You won’t be sorry!
