Weekly Update #167

1 minute read

Happy Sunday. Kind of a wet and cold one here actually. All of our warm weather is gone and the last two days I’ve been trying to stay inside to avoid the downpour. Ick!

The NBA regular season is about to wrap up which means the playoffs but also the start of the WNBA season. There have been so many things happening in the W since the CBA negotiations completed that I couldn’t even begin to list them all. The Fever are retaining Caitlin, Kelsey, Lexie and Aaliyah which is the core team they had last year. Minnesota parted ways with Alana Smith who is headed to Dallas, which is great for Dallas because they needed someone like her to fight in the paint. Lots of players have received max contracts (1.4m) which is amazing. I’m so happy that the players are finally getting paid.

F1 is off for quite a while because the next two races were in Saudi and Bahrain and they were understandably canceled.

My writing is making good progress. I passed 100k words, not that that means so much on its own, but it still feels good to have come so far. There is still quite a long ways to go but I should be finished with the first draft in about 3-4 months I would guess. Just gotta keep trucking along, taking another step every day, and soon it’ll be out and in your hands.

Have a good week!
