Weekly Update #169

Happy Saturday! The rain is gone but I woke up to thunderstorms in the distance. Glad they passed me by! All that’s left now is to weather the extreme heat we’re supposed to get tomorrow. It’s supposed to be almost 90! How did everything change so fast?

There’s only one more week till the WNBA regular season starts AND F1 is back this weekend. Woohoo! Personally I cannot wait for the W. I’ve been so revved up and ready to go. I’m gonna be following Portland on their new journey and Minnesota too, I guess, but to be honest I think MN is gonna be terrible this year. They lost two of their starters and the core of their defense so I think it’ll be tough for a while. I’ll also be keeping a close eye on Dallas, which is poised to start making waves.

My writing is still going well. I’m at 119k words now and starting to make my way towards the final acts of the book. At least I’m in the beginning of the end phase. I think 150k words is still a realistic estimate, somewhere around there at least. I’m feeling really good about the story as a whole and trying not to rush anything even though there is always that feeling when I’ve been working on a project for so long. Next book I’ll probably work on something shorter just to give myself a break!
