Weekly Update #56
The sunny weather is gone and we’re in the cold and wet again. But that’s ok! Next weekend should be nice. And the weather is nice in Bahrain, where the F1 season will be starting in two weeks. The manufacturers are releasing all of their cars. Mostly everyone is copying Red Bull’s ‘23 car. RB itself was expected to make mostly incremental changes, but in fact they released something entirely different. Last year at the beginning of the season they realized they were way ahead of everyone and redirected their money to this year’s car instead. If this car has two years’ worth of funding then I expect it to be disgustingly fast and for RB to race away from everyone again.
We’ll see, though!
My writing this week went really well I think. The book is sitting at 68k words (245 pages) right now. I’m dedicating some time in the book to some of the previously minor characters who will eventually have some important relevance. Some parts were not as good as they could be, but I think at this point in the writing (the first draft), the only really important thing is to write words. Google Docs makes it easy to add comments, so whenever I’m not sure about something I add a comment. Usually it’s something like “good idea but it’s not quite right yet”. When the first draft is finished and everything in the plot has been revealed to me then it will be easier to know what to do. The book will write itself! At least I hope so!
Congrats to the KC Chiefs by the way. Mahomeboy came through again. What a legend!
