Weekly Update #61

1 minute read

Happy Saturday and happy F1 weekend. Max is (once again) on the pole position for the race, although if it hadn’t been for a mistake in one turn, Carlos would have been more competitive. As it is, the first two rows are Max, Carlos, Lando and Charles. Sergio was actually going to be third, but he got a grid penalty so he is back a few places. It should be a good race. The only real disappointment, and also something of a scandal, was Alex Albon’s crash in the first practice session that exposed Williams’ horrid infrastructure and logistics. Basically they didn’t have enough spare parts to fix his car, so they took Logan’s car and gave it to Alex. It’s pretty wretched for Logan! I’m sure he is mega pissed. I would be!

My book is coming along pretty well. I can confidently say that the end is in sight now. I’m currently at 98k words and there are about three more events that have to take place for it’s finished. I think it will probably take at least 10k words, so I guess I’ll end up about where I was hoping. After that it’s a long editing process. The overall story arc is right where it should be, but there are a lot of places where I want to go into more detail. I don’t think I’ll have to majorly re-write anything (which is a good thing!).

Stay tuned!
