Weekly Update #66

Happy Saturday. Hope the weather is nice wherever you are. My thoughts go out to all the people affected by the tornados in Nebraska and Iowa!

Just a short update this week. I finished the second draft early in the week. After that I reviewed all the notes I had made during the reading. About half of them were just small details that I was able to fix pretty easily, generally by changing a few words or rewriting a few paragraphs. No big deal. The other half are all related to the side stories. I thought about it for awhile and I had some good ideas about how to fix them, so with that in mind, I’m starting to work on the third draft now. Whenever I see something that is related to these side stories, I’m going to stop and figure out what, if anything, I need to do to make it really pop off, so to speak. I’ve already made some significant changes in the first 25 pages, but assuming it’s not taking literally the whole day then I’ll probably continue on my normal pace.

Hopefully after this draft is finished that’s it! (Maybe I’ll do one more reading after that just to double check things.)
