Weekly Update #136

Happy Saturday! This is the last post for August! And it’s also the first post of the 2025 football season! Woohoo!

The college football season is starting off HOT with Texas (1) vs THE Ohio State (3). Mama mia! I guess whoever wins this is the favorite to win it all in January. There are a few other top-25 matchups today: LSU (9) vs Clemson (4) and Notre Dame (6) vs Miami FL (10).

F1 is also back this weekend, this time in the Netherlands. McLaren has been totally dominating and it’s clear that the championship will be between Lando and Oscar. Max is still hanging in there at number three, but he’s really not competitive at all. He’s the closest to the McLarens and he’s three tenths off! Sheesh!

My writing went well this week. I reached 35k words which is halfway and the end of part three of the story (the first book was parts one and two). It’s a real milestone! Based on where I am now, the book will probably be coming out at the end of October/beginning of November.

Still applying to jobs. I got a rejection this week where they had my name wrong and the reason they rejected me just said {{rejection reason goes here}}. Awesome.

I’ve been reading “Wild Thing” by Sue Prideaux. It’s a biography of Paul Gaugin. Really great book. Check it out if you’re interested.
