Weekly Update #155

1 minute read

Happy Saturday! It’s an especially great Saturday for me since the Ducks lost last night to Indiana, continuing a long tradition of massive chokes by Phil Knight’s sugar baby. I couldn’t be happier, let me tell you. The only thing that would have been better was if they had made it to the finals and lost like they lost to Auburn way back when.

Anyway, the college football finals are set now: Miama vs Indiana. Based on their performances, I think Indiana has to be favored. Against Ole Miss, Miami had possession for 40 minutes and still barely won. They should have crushed them but they couldn’t.

We’re still waiting on the CBA negotiations in the WNBA. The deadline for the current agreement was Jan 9, so we’re in strike territory now. I really have no idea what’s going to happen still, but meanwhile Unrivaled’s second season started. Unfortunately I missed it, but hopefully I’ll catch a game today or tomorrow.

My writing went pretty well this week. I think I wrote some great stuff and I’m feeling good about where the book is headed. Right now I’m at 27k words. It still feels like the beginning of the book and none of the really major action has started, but it’ll get there soon. I still don’t have an idea of the book’s length, but I don’t want to feel pressured to stop at a predetermined word count. I’m just going to let the book go wherever it goes.

Have a great week!
