Weekly Update #161

Happy Saturday! We had some cold and rainy weather but today it feels like a warm day in Spring! I’ll take it!

Every day I’m counting down to the start of F1! It’s about a month away now and the cars are out on the track testing. This year is the beginning of a new set of regulations. The main two changes are the engines, which are now 50/50 fuel/electric and the end of DRS. Instead cars can utilize flexible wings on the front and rear to gain extra speed. I can’t really explain it but it’s supposed to help competition.

The WNBA CBA negotiation saga is still ongoing. The players made a new offer yesterday that was weaker than what they asked for last time but still asks for revenue sharing. There’s a good breakdown of the league’s murky finances and bizarre payout structure here.

My book is going well still. I’m at 62k words right now. I’m starting to feel like the larger shape of the story is starting to come together. Maybe I’m about half way or so, it’s hard to say exactly. Something like that, though. I’ll just keep grinding away until it’s finished!
