Weekly Update #162

Happy Wednesday! I guess it’s another week where I forgot to post a weekly update. Oops! As soon as Saturday passes and I forget, it’s completely out of my mind until next Saturday.

My writing is going well still. I’m at 70k words and things are chugging along. I still have the feeling that I’m approaching some kind of half-way point, so I think I’m aiming for around 150k words. It’s a good feeling when the story’s skeleton starts to take shape. Especially with this story. It’s a different kind of story from my others and told in a little bit different way. I hadn’t exactly planned it like this but it seems right so I’m just going to roll with it.

Still waiting on the WNBA CBA negotiations. The last update was that the league offices sent a new deal to the players, but unfortunately it’s trash like usual. The main parts of this offer are that while the single-player maximum is much higher, the team cap is so low that practically you could never pay it without crippling the team. March 10th is the newest deadline. If they can’t reach a deal by then, the season’s milestones will start getting delayed. Things are already starting to stack up, so even if they reached it, it would be a rush to get everything done. Let’s pray!
