Weekly Update #171

Happy Saturday! This week has had some blustery weather and it’s set to continue through today, but after that it’s a week of mid 70s temperatures and sun. Yahoo!

The WNBA is in full swing now. I don’t think there are any real surprises in the standings so far except that Minnesota is playing well which I wasn’t expecting. They lost so many starters I thought they’d just be rebuilding this year. Napheesa Collier isn’t even playing yet, so there’s a lot of hope still. There’s still one undefeated team: Atlanta. They’ve only played two games though, whereas most other teams have played 3 or 4 already. There have been some great moments, too. Portland got their first win in a buzzer beater over NY and Caitlin had a clutch three-pointer to send the game into overtime yesterday.

The NBA conference finals are getting close now. In the West it’s OKC vs San Antonio, and in the east it’s NY vs Cleveland/Detroit, which is headed to Game 7.

My writing went really well this week. I’m starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel now. I’m just beginning the final sequences and then we’ll have the conclusion and the end. I’m at 131k words now so I think I’m right on track for around 150k. I should finish the first draft this month then. Can’t wait!
